Lesson from Little Baby Teeth

Today has been a tough day for my little guy. He is teething. He has 10 teeth and his last two back teeth are coming in now. He has had the runny nose, the sneezes, and just misreable. I just put him to bed and was thinking about the day and all his struggles with these teeth reminded me of life as a Christian. How many times are we going about life and things seem to be going pretty good and then all of a sudden we get hit upside the head by a trial. This happend to my little guy. He was going about his life and having fun when all of a sudden he gets hit with these teeth and all the pain that goes into it. He has no idea what is going on. He just knows he is in pain and wants it to be gone, just like we as Christians go through a trial and not really know what is going on. We just know we want out of it as quick as possible. When we do go through a trial, we need to stay focused on the prize...becoming more like Christ and Him saying "Well done thou good and faithful servant". My baby boy, his prize are his teeth. He is working hard for his prize and going full force through his trial. We too should go full force through our trials and stay focused on God and the prize.

Thanks for the reminder, Angela. It seems like I've been hit upside the head a few times lately--but, you're right....the job we have to do is to be more like Christ, not worry about the trial. (That's easier to type than to actually do, huh?) :)
